Testimonials

  • The advocate has been and continues to be an enormous asset to me and my patients. She has shown up at a moment’s notice and stayed with patients for hours at a time offering support and assistance.

Dr. Wendi Ehrman, Adolescent Medicine Specialist
  • At first I didn’t know what to expect with an “advocate” sitting in my interviews. After my first investigation I observed that the survivor opened up more and provided incredible amount of detail with an advocate present.

Officer Gerardo Orozco, Milwaukee Police Department
  • The advocate has been there for patients during arduous law enforcement interviews and lengthy medical exams. She is always positive and helpful and the youth she serves speak highly of her.

Dr. Wendi Ehrman, Adolescent Medicine Specialist
  • I observed a change in my style of investigating; a more victim driven interview. I learned ways not re-victimize our survivors. All from observing how our advocates interacted with the survivors.

Officer Gerardo Orozco, Milwaukee Police Department
  • I feel honored to have worked with the advocate who has taught me so much about working with youth who have been trafficked as well as negotiating and collaborating with the systems that try to help them.

Dr. Wendi Ehrman, Adolescent Medicine Specialist
  • With advocates, I observed my cases getting stronger. This caused the suspect to take the plea and avoid court. However if we ended up going to trial our new partners the “advocates” assisted us all the way until sentencing. As an officer I can’t imagine going back to the “Old Ways.”

Officer Gerardo Orozco, Milwaukee Police Department
  • The advocate’s knowledge of and ability to work closely with these youth has led to trusting relationships that have resulted in many of them accessing and accepting needed services.
